This fish lives in Chile, being specific, from the extreme north to the Aysen region.

When they are adults, their size is around 60cm in lenght, very loooong fish in my opinion, but you can get bigger specimens sometimes!

They like to swim slowly since they have to be on permanent movement, they like to swim low close to the floor of the ocean.

This fish is a carnivore, they like to eat rock shrimp? idk what animal is that but whatever, shrimps! or another invertebrates as polychaetes and mollusks. And like 50+ types more of prey.. woah

MY POLITICAL OPINION ABOUT THE FISH

This fish is very nice on my opinion, i think it looks good and i havent tried yet but most people on my country say that they like the flavour of this fish, im more of a crab guy myself, i love jaiba! but since this is a fish blog i have to think about this fish.

It also lives on Peru for some reason, i hope they think its tasty too! the Pinguipes chilensis is part of the Pinguipedidae family tree.

They discovered this fish back in 1833 by Achille Valenciennes who was a french zoologist.
